One of my relatives has been detected with non-small-cell lung cancer! According to the doctors it is just the beginning and he has also assured that it is totally curable and should not take much time. What do you guys think about this? Is there anything we need to worry about? Please suggest!

Hello Lavanya, really sorry to hear about your relative. Here is something that you must try to know about Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer; also known as NSCLC, at this point of time: 1. The size of the main or primary tumor. Also check if it has grown to the nearby areas. 2. Ask the doctors if the cancer has spread to the nearby lymph nodes (these nodes are small bean-shaped) 3. Also check if the cancer has spread to other parts or organs. Usually, bones, liver, brain, kidneys and adrenal glands are the commonly infected regions/parts. Please check with the doctors about all these. Once you have the answers, it will be easy for you to understand everything related to NSCLC.

Hi Lavanya, hope your relative fights this NSCLC soon! Please try to get the answers of the things as suggested by Mr.Mrinal. This will not only educate you on NSCLC, but will help you to support your relative in the best ways.
